Skills on processing and characterization of non-oxide structural ceramics:
- Powders treatment, pressureless sintering and hot pressing
- Microstructural characterization: use of scanning and transmission electron microscope and energy dispersive spectroscopy, x-ray diffractometry
- Mechanical characterization of ceramics: use of screw-type testing machine at room and high temperature in air or controlled environment, H&P gain phase analyzer, microhardness tester, nanoindenter
- Ceramics behaviour under oxidative environments
