Educational qualifications: -degree in Physics from Bologna University in 1974, Doctorate in Physical Chemistry

Professional Experiences:

-from 1974 to 1976: fellowship at the Solid State Physics Laboratory of the University of Bologna

-from 1976 researcher at ISTEC (Institute of Science and Technology for Ceramics, Faenza) belonging to CNR (Italian National Research Council)

-2001: appointed as Research Manager

-2010 appointed Director of ISTEC-CNR

2. Scientific curriculum

-from 1985: project leader of research programmes at ISTEC. In 2001 promoted "Research manager"

-Leader of activities in the frame of Italian special projects and of International Agreements

-Leader of agreements and research contracts between ISTEC and Industries

-in 1989: designated as coordinating of the Section "Advanced Ceramics Processing Technologies" in the frame of theNational Targeted Project on Advanced Materials: PF MSTA I
