2. Professional Experience
Since May 2011: researcher at ISTEC-CNR Faenza (Institute of Science and Technology for Ceramics, Istituto di Ricerche Tecnologiche per la Ceramica)
Since September 2006 till April 2011: research fellow for ISTEC-CNR Faenza involved in different research projects both ministerial and in collaboration with private companies for the synthesis and characterization of metal and oxides nanoparticles for application in different fields: surface functionalization, catalysts, semiconductors.
Since July 2005 till May 2006: winner of a Spinner fellowship with a technology transfer project on nanoinks characterization performed at ISTEC-CNR laboratories and in collaboration with Colorobbia Italia S. p. A and the faculty of Industrial Chemistry of Bologna.
3. Role in ISTEC
The role in ISTEC is based on the synthesis and characterization of metal and oxide nanoparticles usable for industrial applications: ceramic pigments, catalysts working for pollutants degradation or for fuel cells, semiconductors for solar cells, nanostructures for the surface treatment of ceramic and textile (antireflective, hydrophilic, hydrophobic, antibacterial), thermal nanofluids usable as heat carriers.
The activity concerns the take part in writing and development of scientific projects, financed both by private companies and by national/EU-program.
Since 2007 till 2010 scientific co-tutor of the experimental activity for three master theses concerning the development of microwave assisted synthesis of noble metal and bimetallic nanoparticles for the faculty of Industrial Chemistry (Bologna University).
